Biography
Cathy joined the firm in 2001 after relocating to Florida from Rhode Island, where she maintained a successful personal injury practice. Cathy remains licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Since joining the firm, Cathy has focused her practice on medical negligence claims. (See Cases: Ignoring Its Insured.) Cathy is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar, a distinction earned by only four other lawyers in Charlotte County. She is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a national organization of trial lawyers whose membership requirements include trying a minimum of 20 civil jury trials to verdict as lead counsel. Cathy utilizes her extensive trial experience to assist litigants in resolving their disputes as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and Arbitrator.
Cathy also volunteers as a board member of the Virginia B. Andes Medical Volunteer Community Clinic, a non-profit organization that provides free health care services to the under-served of Charlotte County.
